Hi. I’m Julia, and this is my blog. As you can see, I have a passion for writing—it’s what I was born to do. I’ve come to the point where I need to share my work with others because it can’t stay trapped inside my notebook for any longer. Usually I write fiction, and usually this fiction is either a short story or the beginning of one of my many complex ideas that I wish to turn into a novel someday. I like to experiment, though. Sometimes I write poems. Sometimes I write about what’s bugging me. It all depends on my mood, which is ever changing. I take photos because it amazes me when I find one that relates to my writing. I love to cook, so expect to see some recipes from time to time. As for what I’m like, I’m ambitious—if I want something, I’m going to find a way to get it. I don’t like being social. My head’s always in the clouds. Overall, it’s a bit difficult to try to understand me, but if you want to take a shot at it, read on.

Hello Julia, welcome to the community where people share one another’s voices!
God bless you, and enjoy!
Thank you so much!
I nominated you for the “Versatile Blogger Award” today because I just love that you are airing your process for the whole world and that you are brave enough to write what you feel. Keep it up!
Thank you for your support
I truly appreciate this.
I’ve always loved to write and I wish I had more confidence in myself to go further with it. I’ve always loved to read, the chance to lose myself in the pages of a novel, to escape my reality. But, I tell myself I’m not educated enough, I use “primary” vocabulary (if that makes sense). You are an inspiration. I was always titled a daydreamer when I was younger and I suffered and still suffer from social anxiety.
If there’s one piece of advice I can give you, it’s to go for it. Don’t think before you write, and more than anything don’t put yourself down. You don’t have to have an extensive vocabulary to write something good; you just have to have a talent for storytelling, and if you love to write, you most likely have this talent. A mistake that writers make a lot of the time is putting too much fancy vocabulary into their work, which takes away from the story. I wish you good luck in your future writings, and I’m honored to be an inspiration to you.
Thanks again for nominating me Julia!!
I nominated you for the Versatile Award.
~Gracie <3
No problem, Grace! And thank you so much for the nomination!
xx
Thank you so much for all the likes!!! I thought of one other thing you may not know about me. I wrote my first poem when my husband and I were dating and only wrote one other I turned into a song that I only sung to him
Now poems pour out like it’s a natural thing!!
You’re welcome; you deserve them!
Aww, I think that’s really sweet! And I’m glad poetry is coming naturally for you now! I wish you the best of luck on both your blogs!
writing is an amazing trip – imagine the possibilities
David in Maine USA
Yes, I agree. And being an imaginative person, I can imagine the possibilities very well, and they’re what keep me going!
I found myself nodding my head in happiness to every sentence here. Like…”yes, me!” For so long, I have felt I’ve had to “hide” my desires, need, to write…(it doesn’t mix with my professional career and persona). But the truth is – it’s all I feel that I can do. (and not well, but still the one thing I feel I could be capable of without feeling inadequate). I’m not sure of what my focus is though – I just have so many ideas and starts and stops. So, for now I’m just writing random anything on my mind. It’s not focused but I have to start somewhere.
I agree. That’s the best thing for you to do. Just write down scraps of ideas, beginnings, ends… anything that comes to you. Every piece counts, trust me. You’ll be practicing your writing so that when the times comes and you actually have an idea you want to follow through with, you’ll be a more experienced and skilled writer. I feel like my writing skills improve with every blog post—even with simple emails, believe it or not.
Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog. I enjoyed your posts and feel the same sentiments. Keep writing!
No problem, and thanks for the support!
Hooray for fiction writing! I’m looking forward to see what will come out of this blog.
One thing: I laughed out loud when I saw the Phillipa Gregory books in the picture. I think my first reaction was “Melusine! Lady of the Rivers!!”.
Thank you! I’m glad you’re excited!
I’m planning to read them soon, though!
And I know this sounds terrible, but I’ve actually never read a Phillipa Gregory book yet! They were the first books I could find to use in my picture, so I grabbed them… Oops
Hi Julia,
I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog. I enjoy your style and the imagery. I think we have similar styles, and I also feel like i’ve been writing in books for too long and its time to share my work. I’ll see you in the blogosphere.
Be well!
-Michael

You’re right handed, you need to find a way to reach you right brain in your writing …
More creativity and less logic?
Bingo, best to get the habit now, I have the opposite issue…
I’ll certainly give it a try!

I have always loved to write but it seems I don’t know what style I write in if that makes any sence, like I can write poetry but only limericks and when I write like stories they have a good idea I just don’t know how to put into words.
Well, my advice for you is to try and experiment with different types of writing until you find the ones that suit you.
Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award
The way it works goes something like this: create a post and in that post mention the person who nominated you, then mention 7 interesting things about yourself, and then nominate some other blogs that you find interesting! I posted the nominations today so if you want to check it out visit lexiejrunge.com. Congrats!
Wow! Thanks so much, Lexie!
