Where the past and the future
Collide in a burst of sparks,
And everything begins to spin.
The world is flipped upside down,
And disorientation becomes
An everlasting condition
Unable to be avoided.
All that was once known—
Memories precious as pearls—
Crashes into the mystery
Of all that is to come.
A strange light trickling into
A familiar room that is
Not as it was before—
Warped into a dreamlike disarray.
The clock has stopped,
Or are seconds still ticking by?
Time, formerly so logical,
Has now become distorted.

Holy smokes! This is my story right now and I’m feeling like you’ve written this about me! Beautifully done, my friend. I would like your permission to post this on my blog. I’m still new to this blogging stuff – I assume that I can copy and paste with your name and link attached?
Simply fantastic! Thank you for posting this.

Thank you so much, Jane! What you could do is reblog it.. It’s easy: the button’s at the top of the page when you click on the post. That way, the post will appear on your blog, but my name will be there, and it will be formatted exactly the same. I really appreciate your support. Thanks again!
Wonderful writing, especially that opening stanza is killer!

This beautiful poem popped into my inbox at the same time that I posted my most recent blog. It’s as if she had read my story and wrote me this poem……synchronicity – I love it!
And more synchronicity – as your lovely poem nicely works with my poem from yesterday about memories and Bubble Dancing…thanks for sharing!
